Creative Networks

20230131_121904

The new Creative Craven Network (CCN) which launched at the beginning of this year continues to provide relaxed spaces and interactive sessions for creative practitioners and other cultural organisations from across the district with recent meetings including a bob up session at Glusburn Institute and our first digital session via Zoom last month.

It’s been great to reconnect but also make new connections and meet with a wealth of new creatives. Another online meeting is planned for early December with two new learning sessions planned for the new year including a full day ‘skills in arts practice’ in January. To sign up to the free online session on Tuesday 5th December click here.

These sessions reflect the learning priorities agreed by CCN members earlier in the year and are open to creative students, practitioners, and cultural organisations across all art forms, who live/work/study in or have a connection to the Craven and wider area. For more information, or if you are interested in getting involved, please email Arts & Cultural Development Officer, Megan at megan.hickes@northyorks.gov.uk

And big congratulations to our colleagues and cultural sector champions, CACN (Cumbria Arts and Culture Network) who have recently been awarded ACE funding to help them deliver more training, mentoring and business support for Cumbrian creative practitioners and people working in cultural organisations. To find out more about this and connect with them, visit CACN and sign up to their mailing list.
