Fresh Perspective

Pilot youth network Fresh Perspective is up and running in Skipton with plans to roll out to Kendal later in the year.

The project brings together 16-25 year olds for evening get-togethers based around what young people would like to see on the cultural agenda in the area. The idea is that the group will become a natural ‘go-to’ for consultations on arts and youth issues as well as generating its own networking events.

GPLD apprentices Holly Tordoff and Maisie Dickinson, themselves within the age group, are the driving force behind the initiative, which is being publicised around Skipton town as well as at Craven College and schools in the area.

It’s early days yet, but the hope is that Fresh Perspective will grow into a significant youth voice for the area. Follow @freshperspective on Instagram for up to date information.
