We’ve had a few questions over the past week regarding our Micro-Commissions so we’ve complied the most common questions together and answered them here:

– I don’t live in the area anymore but I frequently work within the set postcodes, can I still apply?

Yes absolutely, if you’re still working in the area or you are in full/part-time education within the postcodes then you are still eligible to apply.

– Can I use some of the money to pay myself for my time?

Yes you can, we encourage applicants to budget for their time as well as materials as we want to encourage people to pay themselves properly, especially those in creative industries.

– Is there a time-limit on performance pieces?

There is no set time limit however we encourage people to consider the optimum length of time for audience engagement and be mindful of if this could be presented in a digital format.

– Do any potential partnerships need to be organised beforehand or can these be arranged after a successful application?

If you’re working with partners, having them signed up and committed before applying will be a benefit and give us confidence in your project however this is not essential and describing potential partners in your application is acceptable.

If you have any more questions, please leave them in the comments below or email greatplace@cravendc.gov.uk. Apply now through the link in our bio.
